New Artillery and Commanders

One of the command figures I bought was Marlborough writing the Blenheim dispatches which comes from a painting by Robert Alexander Hillingsford.

The figures are all from Warlord Games. The uniform information comes from a book by C. A. Sapherson The Dutch Army of William III.

Black Powder Play Sheet Adjustments

 I'm a new player of Black Powder . The playsheet in the back of the rules manual didn't have all that I needed on it for me. I also wanted to incorporate those rules that would go with my War of Spanish Succession that use The Last Argument of Kings Supplement. So I went ahead and made my own. I It isn't a single page as the BP one is. In fact, mine is 8 pages but it goes in sequence and helps me avoid the missteps and things I forget when I play. Getting old I guess. Anyways, here it is. Again, it has been modified for use with the War of Spanish Succession and the rules that would go with it. On Being a Christian and a Historical Wargamer

Many years ago as a preteen I had a wargame set up on a table when my older brother, Chris, and his friend, Tim, came by. Tim looked at my game and was interested. He said to Chris "Hey, this looks cool. Lets play!" I was quite happy to hear him say this and was hoping I could get a game going. However, Chris just said to him. "No, I don't take pleasure in human suffering." I had a lot of guilt feelings over this comment. I don't take pleasure in human suffering either. That's not why I play. Furthermore, I'm a Christian. I'm not what you call a "cultural Christian" who is a person that follows certain Christian customs out of tradition. No, I believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God who came to earth to sacrifice His life to pay for my sins as many others do, too.
